PLATINUM COACHING

The most comprehensive coaching relationship CycleCoach offers — for riders who want everything.

Platinum exists for the rider who wants to remove every variable they can control — and has the commitment and seriousness of purpose to justify it.

At this level, nothing is sampled or approximated. Every session is analysed. Plans are adjusted without limit. Nutrition is matched to your training load daily, with quarterly deep-dive dietary reviews to track what’s actually working over time. Three times a year, you work with Ric in person at dedicated training camps — focused blocks that compress months of learning into days.

This is not a premium label on a standard coaching package. It is a genuinely different level of coaching investment, built for athletes who are ready to meet it.

Platinum is delivered exclusively by Ric Stern — coaching cyclists with a power-based, evidence-led approach since 1997. Ric has coached world champions, Paralympic medallists, the two-time winner of the Transcontinental Race, and national team riders across multiple countries, alongside masters athletes and committed club racers.

He invented the MAP test-to-FTP estimation method now used by Zwift, Rouvy, and MyWhoosh, holds one of the world’s largest personal power meter datasets dating back to 1994, and has published peer-reviewed research in exercise science. When James Hayden — twice winner of the Transcontinental Race — was interviewed by ITV about his victories, he insisted Ric join him on camera.

This is for you if…

• You want the absolute highest level of coaching available — unlimited access, unlimited analysis, and no ceiling on support.
• You want daily nutrition guidance that responds to each day’s specific training demands, backed by quarterly reviews of your dietary patterns over time.
• You train seriously and want a coach who is genuinely across everything — not reviewing highlights, but seeing the full picture every week.
• You value in-person time with your coach — focused training camps that go beyond what remote coaching alone can deliver.
• You’re in it for the long term and want a coaching relationship with real depth and continuity.
• You understand that this level of access requires genuine commitment and consistent engagement on your side.

This is not for you if…

• You want excellent, high-touch coaching at a more accessible price — Rainbow delivers an exceptional level of support for serious riders.
• Your schedule or training consistency wouldn’t make full use of unlimited access and daily contact.
• You’re preparing for a single event rather than committing to a sustained high-performance coaching relationship (6-month minimum).
• You’re looking for remote-only coaching with no in-person element.

What changes / what you get out of this

• Total visibility, zero drift — every training file is reviewed without exception, so nothing gets missed and no bad patterns go unaddressed.
• Nutrition dialled in at every level — daily macros matched to your actual training load, plus quarterly dietary analysis to track how your fuelling strategy is evolving across the season.
• In-person camps that accelerate everything — three 3–4 day training camps with Ric per year, held at proven locations, focused on whatever you need most: race prep, specific skills, climbing, pacing, or a targeted training block.
• No queues, no arbitrary limits — unlimited calls, unlimited plan alterations, and seven text check-ins per week mean the coaching relationship can respond in real time when something needs attention.
• Advanced performance analysis — deeper trend and pattern review across your data to spot what’s improving, what’s stalling, and where performance is still being left on the table.
• Strength work fully integrated — S&C built into the programme from the ground up, not added on.
