Back in the Saddle (And Yes, It’s Been a While…)

Right then. It’s July. And the last time I posted a blog here was… February.

To anyone who’s been checking in or wondering if I’d fallen into a roadside ditch somewhere on the B2116 — I haven’t. But I’ll hold my hands up: blog updates fell off the back during a headwind of coaching, racing, and building about 94 other things all at once. Sorry everyone who noticed the radio silence.

So where have I been?

Here’s a quick run-down of what’s been going on behind the scenes:

  • TDF insights: We’ve been deep-diving into Tour de France power data and what it means for the rest of us mortals.

  • Video content: I’ve started making YouTube videos from our training camps, including one where I completely mistimed an attack and got rinsed. If that doesn’t say “relatable cycling content,” I don’t know what does.

  • Claire’s para-cycling journey: Huge progress here. Her first race, reclassifications, and everything in between.

  • Coaching the next wave: From ultra-endurance to weekend racers, the athlete roster is growing again — including some great stories I’ll share soon.

  • Trying not to throttle Squarespace: Honestly, getting subscriber forms to behave has taken years off my life. But they’re working now… I think.

What’s next?

More blogs. That’s the idea anyway. Expect a mix of race analysis, training tips, nutrition talk (yes, even the grim bits), and what happens when life + cycling collide in unexpected ways.

Thanks for sticking around. More soon — promise.
