VAM and W/kg estimates

Technical director at RST Sport, Alex Simmons, has written a quick blog piece about VAM and W/kg.

What is VAM?

(Or should I have said, "Watt is VAM"?) VAM is a way to estimate average climbing speed and can be used to then estimate W/kg (power to mass ratio), which as we know is extremely important for climbing ability. Alex in his blog looks at comparing the VAM and a mathematical model of power.
