Great Balls

  • 90 grams of almonds
  • 90 grams of rolled oats
  • 100 grams medjool dates
  • 100 grams of dried cherries (I like sour cherries)
  • 3 tablespoons of dark chocolate chips
  • 25 grams of really good quality nut butter
  • A good pinch of salt
  • Honey (optional)

In a food processor pulse the almonds and rolled oats until finely chopped (but not dust – you want texture!). Add in the dates and cherries and pulse until it starts to form a ball. Add in the chocolate chips and nut butter (most flavours work) and the salt and pulse until a ball is formed. You may need to add some water if the dough is too dry and for extra sweetness you can add in some honey.

Roll into small balls (or you could make them ‘bar’ shaped!) and wrap in parchment paper. They can then be stored in the fridge for a month or so (like they’ll last that long ;-)).
